Found a book?

Yippee! You found a book! And you were wise and daring and took it with you. Great.

What to do?
  • Please report your find on the Bookcrossing website. That's how the person who left the book there for you to find knows it's in good hands.
  • You may remain anonymous
  • Have a good read (the most important aspect)
  • A review on the website is highly appreciated - it need not be an essay, just a few short lines are ok
  • Hopefully you'll then leave the book somewhere for the next person to find.

So how does this reporting work?
When you type the number (BCID) in the box you're taken to that book's own web page.
- At the bottom you'll find what others wrote about this copy.
- At the top you are provided with a box. You could note how the book came on your path, or something else. Make it as short or long as you wish. And feel free to do so in your preferred language!

The people who preceded you in writing about this book get a copy of your note. They now know the book ended up in a good place: In your hands!

The others will only know you as a friendly spirit. They will know nothing about you or your address; street nor email. You may remain entirely anonymous, if you like.

That's all.
There are lots of other options. You could choose a screen name and jump in; you could join the South African community mail list or read the international fora... You're most welcome to do so. But it's all optional.
